Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt

A resurgent Medvedev secured his first championship for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.

The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.

Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.

Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Corentin Moutet.

This represents his maiden title after the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt from spring of 2023.

The win also indicates he has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.

"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," commented ranked player Medvedev.

"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.

His defensive strategy and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused some to question if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.

However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and compete positively, reinforced by an improved serving game.

The champion recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.

The competitors swapped break points in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, took control to push for a final set.

Moutet rescued 4 early-game chances in a competitive deciding set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.

Appropriately, he secured the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
